Luxor

The largest religious site ever built, Karnak is a breathtaking masterpiece of ancient architecture. Visitors can walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall, with its towering 134 columns, and explore sacred temples, obelisks, and chapels dedicated to Amun-Ra, the chief deity of Thebes.

Located in the heart of the city, Luxor Temple is especially magical at sunset when it’s beautifully illuminated. Originally built by Amenhotep III and expanded by later pharaohs, the temple is connected to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes, a grand processional path once used for religious festivals.

One of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, the Valley of the Kings is the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs, including the legendary tomb of Tutankhamun. Step inside elaborately decorated tombs and marvel at the intricate wall paintings that have survived for over 3,000 years.

Towering at 18-meters tall, the statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, illustrate the grandeur of ancient Egypt and the once-magnificent mortuary temple. Visitors may also hear the legends of the "singing statues," as ancient travelers reported mysterious sounds emanating from them at sunrise.
