MY STORY
Hi, I'm Lyn
I grew up in Wales, fell in love with ancient Greece, and spent thirty years moving between the great civilisations of the world. As a professional tour director for EF Educational Tours and Go Ahead, I led groups through Greece, Italy, Vietnam, Cambodia, Israel, Palestine, and all of Europe. I have stood inside temples, ruins, and sacred landscapes across five continents. I have watched people encounter history for the first time and seen it change them.
Years ago I was living in Athens when, through a mutual friend, I was put in touch with a psychic in the United States. In the middle of our conversation, he stopped and said something I have never forgotten:
"You have left your keys in Egypt. You need to go back and collect them."
I did not fully understand it at the time. I do now!
When I arrived in Luxor, something happened that I had not experienced anywhere else. I recognised it. The Nile, the temples, the quality of the light, the depth of what is held in those walls. I had been coming to Egypt since 1971, first on short visits. This time I entered it. I saw the Nile and understood immediately that this is where I was meant to be.
I live here now, in Luxor, looking out at the water every morning. At the crossroads of Karnak and Luxor Temple.
I have come to understand one thing clearly: it all started here. The ideas the Greeks built upon, the knowledge the Romans carried north, the foundations beneath the Renaissance, the roots are in these walls. I can see those connections and sharing them is the greatest privilege of my life.
